Devotional
Just as newborns require constant care and attention, new believers often start their spiritual journey needing similar nurturing. We all begin our walk with Christ as spiritual infants, focused primarily on our own needs and understanding of faith. This is a natural starting point, but God doesn't intend for us to stay there. Growth requires intentional steps and a willingness to move beyond our spiritual comfort zone. The beautiful thing about spiritual growth is that God provides everything we need for this journey - His Word, His Spirit, and His people.
Bible Verse
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." - Matthew 20:28
Reflection Question
What specific areas of your spiritual life still reflect childlike tendencies, and what steps can you take to grow in these areas?
Quote
Children are selfish. They think the world literally revolves around them.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for meeting me where I am in my spiritual journey. Help me recognize areas where I need to grow and give me the courage to take those next steps. Guide me toward spiritual maturity as I learn to focus less on myself and more on You and others. Amen.
