Devotional
In our digital age, it's easy to feel connected yet lonely. We might have hundreds of online friends but still feel isolated. This disconnect isn't just a modern problem - it goes back to the very beginning. God created us for relationship, both with Him and with others. When He said, 'Let us make mankind in our image,' He revealed something profound about our nature. We are made in the image of a God who exists in perfect relationship - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This means we're hardwired for connection. We weren't meant to walk this journey alone, trying to figure everything out by ourselves. We need each other, and most importantly, we need Jesus - the one who bridges the gap between us and God.
Bible Verse
"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" - Genesis 1:26
Reflection Question
In what ways are you trying to 'go it alone' in your faith journey, and how could you take a step toward deeper connection with God and others?
Quote We're actually not made to do the relationship by ourselves. We're made to do it with others. And with Jesus. He's the only God that predicted his death and his resurrection. And it happened.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for creating me for relationship. Help me to embrace authentic connection with You and others. Show me where I'm trying to do life alone and give me courage to reach out. Amen.
