As staff, employees, and members of MCC, we all share a set of core values that unite us behind the common goal of building God’s kingdom and being a light in the community.
Kingdom First Mindset
Everyone at MCC has that Kingdom First Mindset. If it doesn’t build the kingdom and provide a light to the community sharing the good news, then we aren’t going to do it. This requires us to keep the focus on Jesus and His priorities and not our own personal agendas.
Matthew 6:33, Colossians 3:2, and 2 Timothy 2:15
Love Jesus Deeply with Spiritual Maturity
At MCC we also share a deep love for Jesus with a heightened sense of spiritual maturity. We want to possess a deep understanding for Jesus’ love for us and share that same love and understanding with others. This is how we commit ourselves to the life-long journey of growing in spiritual maturity. The more we humble ourselves in learning to understand Jesus' love for us and helping others grow in that understanding the deeper we grow in spiritual maturity.
1 Corinthians 13:11, Ephesians 4:13-15, and 2 Peter 3:10
Live by the Golden Rule
Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor. We are called to treat others how we would like to be treated. This means, we will lift each other up and build each other up, instead of tearing each other down. We want the fruit of the Spirit to guide all our interactions and the humility to seek forgiveness where we come up short.
Leviticus 19:13, Matthew 7:12, Mark 12:31, and Galatians 5:14
Humble Leadership with a Servant Heart
We want to have a heart to humbly lead with confidence. We are all willing to step up and be a leader from the front, from the back, and the middle. It is less about recognition and self, and more about improving the lives of those around us. Lead like we own it and serve like we don’t.
Psalm 25:9, Matthew 18:3-4, Matthew 23:12, and 1 Peter 5:5
Conscious of Spiritual Gifts
At MCC, we want to possess a conscious understanding of our strengths and weaknesses. We believe we should be able to know, explain and utilize our spiritual gifts we have been given by God. We want this for everyone because it unlocks us to be used by the Lord to the fullest potential that He created us for.
Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 2 Timothy 1:6-7, and 1 Peter 4:10-11
