Devotional
There's something powerfully liberating about confession. Like cleaning out a cluttered closet, acknowledging our sins before God creates space for fresh starts and new beginnings. The beautiful truth is that God already knows everything about us, yet He loves us completely. When we confess our sins, we're not informing God of something He doesn't know - we're agreeing with Him about our need for His grace. This agreement opens the door to experiencing His forgiveness in a profound way, allowing us to live free from the burden of guilt and shame.
Bible Verse
"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do." - James 1:6-8
Reflection Question
What burdens of guilt or shame are you carrying that you need to bring to God in confession?
Quote Do you know that when you say, Lord, this is what I've done, He can confess your sin. He knows it already, but he cast it as far as the east is to the west to never be remembered again.
Prayer
Merciful God, thank You for Your forgiveness. Help me to confess freely and receive Your grace fully. In Jesus' name, Amen.
