Devotional

Change is uncomfortable, yet it's essential for growth. Many of us resist transformation by clinging to familiar patterns and habits, even when they hold us back. We often justify our limitations with the phrase 'that's just how I am.' But God calls us to a higher standard - one that requires us to shed our old ways of thinking and embrace His transformative power. True growth begins when we stop making excuses and start making changes.

Bible Verse

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:1-2

Reflection Question

What aspect of your character or behavior have you been excusing with 'that's just how I am' that God might be calling you to change?

Quote You cannot keep going around using the excuse of that's just how I am. I do that like that because that's just how I am. Well, it don't matter if that's just how you are. Change just how you are.

Prayer

Lord, give me the humility to recognize areas where I need to change and the strength to pursue transformation. Help me embrace Your work in my life. Amen.
