Devotional
Relationships are essential for spiritual growth. As spiritual infants, new believers are dependent on the community of believers for guidance and support. The church plays a crucial role in nurturing these new believers by sharing our lives, teaching biblical truths, and helping spiritual infants develop new spiritual habits. Think about the role of community in your own spiritual journey. Are you connected to a supportive group of believers? If not, consider joining a small group or finding a mentor who can walk alongside you. Remember, we are all hardwired to connect and grow together in faith. "Spiritual infants are dependent. If yoiu are a spiritual infant you must recognize that you are dependent on a community of believers for relationships that help you grow."
Bible Verse
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. - 1 Peter 2:2-3
Quote
Spiritual infants are dependent. When they come into the church, they accept Christ. They have to recognize that you are dependent on community of believers.
Reflection Question
How can you become more connected relationally to the community of believers to support your spiritual growth? Are you open to helping a spiritual infant grow?
Matthew 28.18-20
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Prayer
