Transitioning from darkness to light is a profound transformation. When we accept Christ, we move from a place of spiritual darkness into His marvelous light. This change is not just about knowing Jesus but committing to follow Him wholeheartedly. Being a disciple means more than just believing; it means living out our faith daily and allowing Christ to transform us. Consider the areas in your life where you need more of Christ's light. Are there habits or thoughts that need to be surrendered to Him? Embrace the journey of transformation, knowing that God is with you every step of the way. "You have gone from being somebody in the darkness to somebody in the light, somebody who wasn't a follower of Christ, to somebody who is a follower of Christ."
Bible Verse Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. - 1 Peter 2:2-3
Reflection Question We all start out as spiritual infants but God expects us to grow up, just like we expect our babies to grow up. Growing up just is not a matter of time as in the physical realm how can those areas be transformed ao you can move to the next stage of spiritual maturity?
Hebrews 5.12-14
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Quote
There is no such thing as discipleship without relationship.
Prayer Jesus, thank You for bringing me out of darkness into Your light. Help me to surrender every part of my life to You and to grow in my faith each day. Teach me your word and connect me to a mature believer that can help me grow in my new faith. Amen.
